1. Booking and Payment

To book a skip, you must provide accurate information regarding the size, location, and duration of hire. A deposit may be required to secure your booking. Payment can be made via various methods as listed during the booking process. Full payment is due before delivery of the skip.

  • Payments must be made in full prior to delivery.
  • Late payments may incur additional fees.

2. Delivery and Placement

Our team will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed date and time. It is your responsibility to ensure that there is sufficient space and access for delivery. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if access is deemed unsafe.

  • Ensure clear access for skip delivery and collection.
  • Provide accurate location details.
  • Obtain any necessary permissions for placement.

3. Usage Guidelines

Skips must be used in compliance with local regulations and guidelines. Overloading or misuse of the skip may lead to additional charges or immediate collection.

Prohibited Items

  • Hazardous Waste: Chemicals, asbestos, batteries, etc.
  • Perishable Items: Food waste that may attract pests.
  • High-Value Items: Items that require special handling or protection.

Improper disposal of prohibited items can result in fines and termination of service.

4. Duration of Hire

The standard hire period is agreed upon at the time of booking. Extensions must be requested in advance and are subject to availability. Additional charges apply for extended hire periods.

Early Collection and Late Return

  • If you wish to return the skip earlier than scheduled, notify us to avoid unnecessary charges.
  • Returning the skip late without prior agreement may incur extra fees.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the booking cost.

Refunds

Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of cancellation, subject to the cancellation policy.

6. Liability and Insurance

Mortlake Skip Hire is insured for public liability. However, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

  • Customers are responsible for securing their property and ensuring no damage occurs during skip placement.
  • We are not liable for items lost or damaged if not properly secured within the skip.

Insurance Coverage

Our insurance covers accidental damages during delivery and collection. It does not cover damages caused by misuse, overloading, or unauthorized alterations to the skip.

7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or regulatory changes.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
